About Dogopolis

Like many great adventures, Dogopolis was founded at a pub.

One evening over a pint in Northern California, engineer David Rucker and dog trainer Sandi Thompson wondered what their dogs were doing while home alone. Nothing, they concluded, just waiting.

Their dogs didn't bark, chew, or get anxious, yet it didn’t feel right, leaving the dogs with nothing to do. They began to discuss how boring much of life must be for dogs and decided to do something to help.

Sometimes, you have to leave your dog home alone. Wouldn’t it be great if you could feel good about it? Dogopolis is proud to introduce KongTime, all day entertainment for the home-alone dog.
